Our High Risk Foot Care Nurse fixes the Onyfix brace to your nail, which is then brought back into its natural shape as it grows. The whole process is pain-free, during application and throughout the entire treatment!

How Does Onyfix Work?
The principle of the Onyfix nail correction system is to bring an involuted or ingrown nail back into a natural shape through normal growth without any tension or pain. This is done by applying the Onyfix brace to the proximal part of the nail (the part closest to the base of the nail, and away from the nail tip) using a hardened composite. Your High Risk Foot Care Nurse first prepares the nail prior to application. The Onyfix composite is then spread on the nail and shaped correctly. After the composite has hardened, the Onyfix brace keeps the nail in that shape without any tension, ensuring that the nail grows straight. For most people, an application takes no more than 15 minutes.
When the treatment has been completed, our High Risk Foot Care Nurses remove the Onyfix nail correction system in a process that is also pain-free.
